French Book Group I (monthly)
Wednesday, 14:30-16:30
There are two IWCR French book groups. The Wednesday one (the other one is on Thursday) meets in a member’s house once a month between 2.30 and around 4.30 pm, ending up with tea. We might be a French book group (and about half our group members are native French speakers), but we do like the British tradition of afternoon tea! We take turns to present a book, which is usually a French one, but otherwise a translation into French, which we are all supposed to have read, and then we all talk about it. It is certainly less heavy/formal than it sounds; we have in common that we love reading and discussing the books we have read. New members are very welcome.
