French Book Group II (monthly)
Thursday, 12:30-16:00
The IWCR French book group, which meets on Thursday (the other one is on Wednesday) meets in a member’s home between 12.30 and around 4 pm once a month, beginning with lunch, which is a good French tradition. We take turns to present a book, usually a French one but otherwise a translation (into French), which we are all supposed to have read, and then we all talk about it (less heavy/formal than it sounds). About half the members are native French speakers. Interested? Join us! Thursday 7 November: Les matins de Jénine” by Susan Abulhawa and Thursday 5 December Article 353 du Code pénal” by Tanguy Viel.
