A Humanitarian Voyage to Ukraine Lorna tells us her story
Tuesday November 10, 2026 10:30am-2:30pm
Hotel Ambassadeurs, 50-52 Chemin des Sables, 06160 Juan Les Pins
Lorna Hawthorne, a school friend of mine, tells you about this humanitarian voyage and the dangers. The Speaker event is followed by lunch in the Hotel.
Lorna's own words: "Why would I be driving an ambulance - to take to Ukraine of course! A big birthday made me wonder how to celebrate, and what better way? Having Ukrainian friends and colleagues has made this war more personal so I decided to do something practical to help".
Medical Life Lines Ukraine buy ambulances that are equipped and still functional but have been financially written off in the UK. We overhaul them and ensure they are in good working order. Filled with medical equipment and supplies, they are driven across the Poland-Ukraine border by volunteers.
Lunch is a set Menu: 2 Courses, Entree + Plat + Coffee Gourmande.
