Wednesday 25 April

Le Jardin des Fleurs de Poterie

This small but imaginative garden is very close to the village of Gattières at 300 metres above sea level. The owner makes the most unusual pottery and uses it to decorate and help shape the garden. In her eyes the garden is a marriage of plants and minerals. If you are interested in unusual gardens then this one is not to be missed. We can also visit her workshop to see some of her wonderful creations.

The visit will start at 10.00. When you have booked, directions to the garden will be sent to you. If you would like to stay for lunch after the visit, please tell Angela at the time of booking.

Cost of the visit is €6.

Please reserve before 18 April, either by phoning 04 93 42 72 95 (if leaving a message please give your phone number and name clearly) or by emailing angela.hemmings@free.fr

Les Cèdres

Les Cèdres is the most prestigious private botanical garden in the world and was originally owned and created by King Léopald II of Belgium in the 1890s. It was then acquired by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle in 1922. The family Marnier-Lapostolle still carries out the conservation and botanical research of this unique garden.
