THE IDLEMEN

The Idlemen (sometimes known as the Idlemen's Federation) have their origins very close to those of the IWCR (see About ). Having taken care of the ladies' welfare, some thought was given to their spouses and partners, who also valued the opportunity to get together occasionally to enjoy each other's company.
The main 'activity' on the cards was a monthly lunch and this fine tradition has been preserved till the present time.

There is no 'membership' requirement in the usual way as all interested parties are welcome. However, to be advised of the venues and dates you should join the mailing list by sending your contact details to idlemen@iwcr.org.

The monthly lunch takes place on the third Thursday of the month at a selected venue, usually revisiting venues previously found pleasing, although new venues are also considered. We usually meet for an apéritif around 12.15 and sit down to an enjoyable lunch at 12.30.
Directions to the restaurant are included in the email confirming the venue and date.
